The 14th of Sept was uneventful, unless you count that we landed in Rome, Italy and fumbled our way to our apartment carrying all of our luggage (taxi at airport is VERY expensive). Took at nap at 1pm Rome time, after not sleeping for over 24 hours. But fear of jet lag got me out of bed at 4pm. Found grocery store, got food, made dinner, went back to bed.
15 Sept
Got up at 6am and went for a run through the large cemetary beside San Lorenzo fuori le Mura church. Haven't been in the church yet, although it has some deep history (5 levels of catacombs!), but the cemetary is a delight to run through.
We are working at La Sapeinza University of Rome. The engineering buildings are located near the Colusseum. Here is the front of the building
After a meeting where we discovered that we will be working everyday for the next 22 days (will have to figure out how to accomplish vacation plans), we went to visit the sites. Below are two panorama's of Rome from the top of two of the radiometer sites.
